breakup letter

Dear My Red Velvet Cupcake addiction,
This is probably the hardest thing I’m ever going to do. I think it’s time that we stop seeing each other. Well, we’ve been together for a long time and you’re really sweet, but I think I’m getting tired of you. Don’t get me wrong, I do love you, but you’re just no good for me. My mother doesn’t like you and behind your back she calls you ‘poison’. My mother forbade me to ever see you again once I got hooked to you, but everyday I would crave you. I would sneak out of my room and into the kitchen everyday to be with you. However, the longer we’re together, the more weight you put on me.
The first time we met was at the Rockefeller ice skating rink. My friend, Mr. Cupcake, introduced us. When I held you in my hands my cheeks started blushing and when I looked at you, you were even worse; your face was an absolutely red velvet color. We laughed and had fun together. You always gave me comfort when I needed it most.
Things are different now. You haven’t changed, but my tastes have. Our relationship is now stale. I’m really sorry, but I think it’s better this way. I hope you won’t have any dry feelings. Don’t be too angry with me because I’ve told you; if you can’t take the heat get out of the oven. I hope this doesn’t make you feel burned. And I beg you, don’t let this breakup make you crumble.

Goodbye forever,
your lover
